Jim Gray: Dream was to live in San Francisco, work in San Francisco and sail in San Francisco Bay

Jim is missing since Sunday 1/28/07. Sailing from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Farallon Islands (25 miles west of San Francisco).

I had never met Jim before, but I read his articles/papers/blog frequently. His words are simple and full of power, great sources of inspiration. I do feel I owe him in so many ways. Sometimes I think maybe I should apply to join Microsoft to work with him before he retires.

Jim is a leader and I wish he can come back.
